As a Senior Consultant and Vice President with Lee Hecht Harrison, an international outplacement/career transition firm, Becky worked with major clients nationwide for the newly created Project Services division in Stamford, CT. As a Consultant and Project Director, she trained and directed outplacement projects/plant closings with Sperry, Burroughs, Unisys, Levi Strauss, Warner Cable and AT&T. She has also managed career centers for Huntington Bank, Sky Bank, Master Brand Cabinets, Longaberger, and Unizan Bank. In Ohio, she has worked with major employers such as AEP, Limited (Bath & Body Works/Victoria Secret Direct), Greif Brothers, Cardinal Health, Ashland Chemical, Battelle, OSU, Scotts, Nationwide, McGraw-Hill, Columbia Gas/NiSource, Honeywell, Key Bank, Philips Medical, Pfizer, Delphi, Rockwell Automation, Parker Hannifin, Ben Venue and many others in the Columbus and Cleveland areas. Becky also created/facilitated both virtual and on-site e-teams (entrepreneur work teams) to provide direction, support, education and an accountability vehicle for clients pursuing the entrepreneurial track.
Becky has successfully created and operated several companies (training/consulting firm, a corporate travel agency and a proprietary school). She has also developed and delivered professional development seminars through her own training firm for nationwide clients such as GE, Avon, and McGraw-Hill, in addition to various government training programs on the state and county level. Her first company was a dance studio that she started at the age of 15, although she was well known for selling bananas (that she “borrowed” from her neighbors) at only 4 years old and for selling home-made products during recess at her school playground.
Currently, Becky is the franchise owner/area director in the Canton/Akron area for AmSpirit Business Connections, a business referral networking group. She is also a facilitator for ExecuNetof Central Ohio, assisting senior professionals in transition, and a member of the leadership team for NCENG (North Canton Executive Network Group). She continues her career consulting and entrepreneurial coaching through her companies, Momentum Career Services and SUCCESSercize.
Becky is also a professional speaker and has offered numerous seminars/presentations on attitudes, building self esteem and self confidence, stress management/developing resilience, overcoming the fear of speaking, managing change, salesmanship and networking. She developed her passion for these topics while working with students at the University of Cincinnati and Ashland University, and teaching at Kent State University and Stark State College of Technology.
Professionally, she has been an active member/officer of the Ohio Speakers Forum and National Speakers Association, Founder of Women in Careers (Northeast Ohio chapter) and national board member, and an avid supporter of Junior Achievement. She enjoys networking with local Chambers and other business organizations. Becky has also been a mentor for the “Child/Youth Booster Program” and “Big Brothers/Big Sisters,” offering companionship and guidance to you that risk.
Becky is a graduate of the University of Houston with a B.A. in Psychology and from Bowling Green State University with an M.A. in College Student Personnel/Counseling. She lives in New Philadelphia, OH and has one adult son.
